The Nicholls men's basketball team is hosting a White Out Game on Wednesday, Jan. 25, against McNeese State at 6:30 p.m. in Stopher Gym.

The game is intended to promote school spirit and instill pride among the student body. This is the first year the men's basketball team is hosting a White Out Game.

"The White Out Game is a marketing theme that we started a couple years back with football and we are now trying to carry it on to basketball," Brandon Ruttley, associate director of marketing and development, said.

According to Ruttley, the athletic department is trying to bring unity and involvement with the student body and fans. They are encouraging fans to come out and wear white.

They are planning on having different promotions at the game, and there will be a tricycle race at half time and several give-a-ways.

"I think people should come and check out the game. This is a fun team and there will be a lot of fun things happening," Ruttley said.
