Lady Colonels soccer team is getting ready to kick off a new season with new talent and hopes of a fresh start and upset any team that comes their way. The team hopes it can turn around last year's 2-17-1 record with the amount of new talent and promise the team is showing so far.
"We have the right ingredients to make the right dish," head coach Chris Laird said about his new volleyball team. The team has high hopes for a great season with incoming freshmen Dani Daigle and Rachel Yezak. They will be very influential in leading this team to a successful season.

As the Lady Colonels soccer team begins its new season, the team welcomes 12 new players. Two of the incoming freshman players are not from Louisiana or any surrounding states, but from different countries. Carolyn Noble is from Ontario, Canada, and teammate Sam Etherington is from Northamptonshire, England.
The filming tower in John L. Guidry stadium that stands on the Colonels south end zone has been refurbished. The tower is used to film shots from behind the end zone during games and practices. J. Ray McDermott Inc. did the refurbishments. "It was really nice by McDermott to come by and do that for us" head football coach Jay Thomas said.
