After two students were caught with bundles of The Nicholls Worth last Thursday, the University discovered that several other students had removed newspapers from campus. James Stewart, head of the Department of Mass Communication, said he saw two young men carrying bundles of newspapers on campus, and when he confronted the students they claimed to be taking the newspapers to the library.
As of the 2008 spring semester, students will no longer be allowed to park along Bowie Road. As of now parking along Bowie Road has not been prohibited, and students, as well as faculty, have parked along the road for more convenient and manageable parking.
Beta Sigma Iota hosted Empathy Day Tuesday, an event aimed at spreading disability awareness, where University administrators took on disabilities for a day such as using wheelchairs, crutches and walkers as well as having arms and legs immobilized and also wearing ear plugs to simulate deafness.
'Mosaic' accepting student work "Mosaic," the literary magazine, is accepting student work in the following categories: poetry, short story, essay from any department (personal or formal), one-act play, feature story, music and art (sized 8 1/2 by 11 or smaller or a photograph of a larger sculpture).
November 6 A student's mother reported she had not been able to contact her daughter and was concerned because some of the student's belongings were left in the street. An officer tracked down the student and observed her physical condition to be good. Student and officer contacted the mother to advise her of the situation.
