Last day to drop a summer full term course is Friday
The last day to drop a full summer term course with a "W" or resign from the full summer term is Friday, July 11. For mini term B, the last day to drop a course with a "W" or resign from the mini session is July 22.
Student Government Association to meet next week
The Student Senate will hold its second meeting of the summer on July 14 at 4 p.m. in the Lafourche room of the student union.
Voter registration drive scheduled for next week
The Lafourche Parish Registrar of Voters has scheduled a voter registration drive on July 18 from 10 a.m. to noon in the lobby of the student union.
Thibodaux Playhouse announces summer musical
Thibodaux Playhouse will present its summer musical, "The Last Five Years," throughout the month of July. The story explores a five-year relationship between Jamie Wellerstein, a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress. The show uses a form of storytelling in which Cathy travels backwards in time (beginning the show at the end of the marriage), and Jamie travels forwards (starting just after the couple met).
The musical is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. July 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26. Two Sunday matinees are scheduled for 2 p.m. July 20 and 27. The musical will be presented at Jean Lafitte Wetlands Cultural Center Theatre at 314 St. Mary Hwy. in Thibodaux.
Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for students. For ticket reservations, please call (985) 446-1896.
